If you would like to help us with this experiment in political participation, please contact us. If you have some time, we have something for you to do. We have people ready to train someone in each of these areas so it could be a good learning experience and resume building opportunity for someone(s).
NEWS TEAM: Help cover local news for The Conduit!
Would you like to help cover local news in Bremerton – Port Orchard? Keeping our neighbors informed about what is going on locally promotes civic engagement and inclusion. Would you like to try producing a weekly local news show? Do you enjoy editing videos and making clips? Are you a natural TV star? Join this team by emailing editor@BPOVotes.org or by contacting Mr. Marwan Cameron at The Conduit.
SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM: Help spread the word about local political actions and news on FB groups like The Bremerton Homeless Community Coalition and Let’s Talk About Affordable Housing. This team would hopefully also expand to twitter, Slack and the other social media applications that people use. Just email Editor@BPOVotes.org or contact Jeff Campbell directly.
DATA NERD TEAM: This team will help update websites, gather data and do background research. Would you like to practice or update your web skills? Do you enjoy research legislation, voting records, laws, etc? Do you enjoy entering data into a computer? There is a huge need throughout the community for people who can help keep informational websites up to date. We can provide training for anyone who wants to learn how to update data for a website. Just email Editor@BPOVotes.org or contact Jeff Campbell directly.
